Trainers



Tina Jeffers 
Tina’s background and training was in pilates, but she quickly found the sameness of the workouts boring. Wanting a workout that was constantly changing, Tina envisioned Recreate Fitness, where she could make new friends and devise new ways to torture clients.

 

 

Nathan Jeffers

Nathan’s background is in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, which he teaches and competes in. Nathan likes to keep his gym workouts safe and light, emphasizing kettlebells and bodyweight workouts for conditioning and strength.

 

Erin Hunt

 

Erin was a sprinter in college, and likes to do workouts at sprint intensity with around-the-building sprint and rowing. Erin loves to innovate, and appreciates the Jeffers team’s mobility work with adding new and challenging movements.

 

Ben Soto

Ben has a background in jiu-jitsu, running, and yoga. Ben is appreciative of the sense of community at Recreate Fitness, and loves the personal connections he makes with members of the gym.

 

 

Melissa Kaiser

When not teaching at the gym, Melissa is a life coach for college students. She finds the long hours in front of the computer difficult, and so appreciates the opportunity to coach at a gym as well. Melissa is particularly fond of the partner relay and any workout involving elastic bands.

 

Marianne Jones

Marianne was born in Ireland, grew up in New Hampshire and has been living in Portland the last two and a half years. Active all her life-track and field, soccer, hiking-she believes you need to find an exercise routine that is challenging but, most of all, fun!
